Etsy Alternatives

Friday, March 23

In the past year, a lot of my fave Etsy sellers have moved to BigCartel and seem to be flourishing there.
I think its always good to have options and if that's working better for them,
then thats where they should be.

There's a pretty big debate going on about which one is better and with the rise of other competitors such as Cargoh, Storeenvy, Artfire, it's not going away any time soon.  Just cos I'm addicted to Etsy, doesn't mean you won't find me on all these other amazing marketplaces... and I'll be sharing any cool finds as always.

  1. There's another very new Etsy Alternative that specifically targets Men. They allow new designers, boutiques, artisans etc showcase and sell their products in the marketplace but it is governed by them, you would have to apply and they review the applications before allowing you to sell. Everything's free and they take a commission on the sale. Visit

  2. You may want to check-out and as good alternatives.
If you want something different try out, I registered on and seen some sharp increase in the traffice directed to my website.
Unlike easy and artfire they are not restricted to handmade, I get to promote to a bigger audience (all design buffs).
The best about storemate is, I get to help out my customers in real-time using their 'Talk-About' feature. Helping out with questions on custom options, shipping queries etc in realtime.
I even passed on exclusive discounts to them during these help-out sessions, which turned casual enquiries into quick sales and followers for me.
I have been Storemate's "Featured Designer" for 3 weeks, straight! ( My proud moment!) :D

  3. Here is another Etsy alternative. Trinksy. They are free apart from the tiny listing fee.
